I am honored to share that I was recently featured by Alfa Charlie Creative Agency in their Women at the Helm series, an interview series celebrating women founders who are reshaping the future of healthcare and femtech.
This feature dives into the story behind Therapy Coverage: how the idea was born, the systemic gaps it addresses, and why sustainable practice is not just a clinician issue. It is a healthcare infrastructure issue.
What the Interview Covers
The article explores my background in crisis work, the gender based data gaps across healthcare, and the need for built in systems that allow therapists, especially women, to step away without sacrificing their practice or their clients.
At the heart of the interview is a message I care deeply about: Therapists deserve infrastructure that supports rest, balance, and continuity of care, not systems that force them to choose between their wellbeing and their livelihood.
An Excerpt from the Feature
"Ana Zedginidze remembers the moment clearly. As a therapist specializing in urgent and crisis cases, she understood the weight of being someone's lifeline. But she also understood something else: the impossible calculus that private practice therapists face when they need to step away… That realization became the seed for Therapy Coverage, a platform designed to solve a problem that has long been treated as unsolvable."

Why This Matters
The mental health field has long operated without formal infrastructure for what happens when a therapist needs to take leave. There are roughly 230,000 therapists in private practice in the United States, and the vast majority have no structured system for ensuring their clients remain supported when they step away. The result is that therapists either avoid taking leave, work through it, or leave clients in a vulnerable gap.
Therapy Coverage exists to close that gap. We connect therapists going on leave with licensed clinicians who can step in and provide temporary coverage, protecting both the therapist's practice and their clients' continuity of care.
Being featured in a series that centers women founders in healthcare means a great deal. The challenges Therapy Coverage addresses, including maternity leave, burnout, and the expectation of always being available, disproportionately affect women in this field. Having that story told in a space dedicated to amplifying these voices is something I do not take for granted.
About the Series
Women at the Helm by Alfa Charlie highlights women founders building purpose driven solutions in women's health. It is a space for leaders reimagining care, rewriting outdated norms, and pushing the industry toward more humane, inclusive systems.
I am grateful to Alfa Charlie for spotlighting this work and for championing women innovators across mental health, femtech, and beyond.
